Nice cabin

This property is beautiful and pictures do not do it justice. It's very secluded and had everything we needed for a weekend away. Robert was quick to respond to messages and everything was very smooth!

This was a wonderful place! Pictures don't do any justice! It's beautiful and peaceful out there!

Robert's place is exactly how he describes! Off the main road, set back among the trees, with great spots for stargazing! The firepit was perfect, the kitchen had basic necessities that made it perfect for cooking dinner and eating out on the porch. Will definitely come back!

Very remote! Beautiful cabin. Robert was very quick in responding. We didn't have a cell signal so be aware of that. Lots of mosquitos so be sure to bring bug spray. AC unit upstairs is powerful and should cool those who are upstairs off, those who are downstairs will probably be toasty during the warm months. I would recommend this place for those who want to stay in one place and spend most of their time on the property. As a family of four with two little ones, we didn't find a much to do in Evart.

This is a beautiful log retreat. The kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you could need-- including pots and pans and dishes. We brought 4 children under 9, and they had a good time running around the property. It is nestled in the middle of farm country, but feels backwoods. Perfect for a hunting lodge or a quiet vacation. We really enjoyed our stay and will probably visit again!

This is the perfect getaway cabin. The location is completely secluded-- no neighbors in sight. The cabin itself is gorgeous, and fully stocked with kitchen and bath supplies as well as an abundance of extra bedding. Robert responded to all communication kindly and quickly, and the cabin was easy to access. There is a fire pit, lots of lovely paths to walk along in the fields dotted with spring flowers, and a huge porch to curl up and watch the fireflies. The whole vibe is comforting, cozy and steeped in the best of northern Michigan's natural landscape. My family loved it so much we plan to return many times and see its magic in other seasons. We couldn't have loved it more!

The cabin was clean and in very good condition, and the whole cabin was just beautiful inside. The queen bed in the loft was super comfortable. We and our dogs took countless hikes through the wildflowers on the maintained trails on the property. Gorgeous setting! We had a campfire at night and enjoyed the amazing stars. The area was so quiet, even over the 4th of July. We loved exploring Evart - tons of great shops and community activities going on. Check out the farmers' market on Saturday mornings. Would highly recommend The Gathering Place to eat, as well as Mishler's Drive-in, Dutch Pantry, 7th Coffee Shop, used book store, and many other treasures in town. Look forward to coming back!

Thank you for staying, come back anytime!

The house was exactly as described. The trails were cool to walk, 2 bon fire locations, and wide open spaces! The kitchen has most the essentials for getting cooking done. Robert was great at getting back to me and answering questions. I would stay here again in the future.

Beautiful cabin. Loved the remote location, yet close enough to go into town if needed. Wildlife galore - deer, turkey, birds. Home was as described. Plenty of kitchen amenities. Will be looking to stay again next year.

This log cabin home and property was great. We really enjoyed the mowed trails (great for dogs), the firepit with stargazing views, the large porch, and the yard near the house to play lawn games. As you may read in other reviews, the house does have a few bugs as would be expected and the occasional wasp seems to sneak in the house somehow, but Robert had plenty of bug spray on hand if you need it. The only issue we ran into was that the fridge would not properly close because the gasket was falling off. We informed Robert and I am sure he will take care of it because the property is in good condition and a place we would stay again in the future.

A great space! We were able to cook for every meal with the well equipped kitchen and portable fire-pit, great indoor space for activities and games, great outdoor space for walking around and just connecting with nature. Highly recommend.

The house is gorgeous and well built -- like many reviews say the pictures don't do it justice. You'll have everything you need as far as towels, kitchenware, bedding, etc. It's quiet, and the property is beautiful and perfect for dogs. Also the stargazing is honestly top notch. If you're a city person afraid of getting a little muddy or going after a wasp in the bathroom, this place probably isn't for you. But it's perfect for someone who likes the idea of camping, but still wants to be cozy inside at the end of the day. Plus, deer literally come up almost to the porch. It's pretty dang neat.

Quiet cabin, no neighbors! Lovely home, nice loft bedroom. Plenty of amenities to cook and be at home. (No casserole or baking dishes, but plenty of serving dishes, silverware and pans, {toilet paper and dish soap too}!!) Nice and easy get away. Thanks for the hospitality!!

This cabin was very quiet and secluded yet it felt safe and was very cozy. It was so lovely to get away from road noise. It snowed pretty heavily and we had a late arrival so I was worried about getting in but there was no need. The lane was in good shape for driving a minivan even. the trails were wonderful for a quick cross country ski with the dogs with beautiful views. Loved the sunrises and moonrises. Saw lots of deer from the living room window. Very comfortable. Had everything that we needed. loved the loft!!
